Reusing common materials to create useful objects is a great way to save money and take care of the environment.
Here’s how to make a wall mount, perfect for holding various objects and toothbrushes, using a used shampoo bottle, disc, and hook.

This project is straightforward and only requires a few basic tools.
Materials and tools needed
- Empty shampoo bottle
- Disc (old CD)
- Hook
- Cutter
- Welding machine or nail
- Scissors
- Lighter
- Sandpaper
- Screw and dowel
Procedure
- Clean and dry the shampoo bottle thoroughly.
- Cut the bottle with the cutter so that it is a neat and even section. Sand the cut edges to avoid roughness.
- Heat the nail with the lighter until it’s red hot, or use a welding machine.
- Drill a hole in the top of the shampoo bottle with the hot nail or soldering iron. This hole will serve as the screw that will secure the bracket to the wall.
- Cut the disc with the scissors, dividing it into 3/4 parts and leaving a quarter of the disc intact.
- Increase the size of the center hole of the disc with the cutter or scissors. The hole should be large enough for the top of the shampoo bottle to fit through.
- Make a couple of slots in the disc to hang toothbrushes or other small objects.
- Insert the top of the shampoo bottle through the enlarged hole in the disc. Adjust the bottle until it is firm.
- Place the hook at the bottom of the cut bottle to hang more objects. Use the hot nail or soldering iron to make the necessary holes and attach the hook.
- Place the screw through the hole in the bottle and screw it into the wall, using a dowel if necessary to ensure a firm fixation.
Once mounted, use the holder to place various objects on top and hang toothbrushes in the slots of the disc.
The additional hook at the bottom provides even more storage options.
This simple and economical project will allow you to organize your space in a creative and ecological way. Let’s get to work!
