  1. You only need 2 liters of water, 2 tablespoons (20 ml) of liquid soap, and 1 tablespoon (10 grams) of sodium silicate solution. Before you begin, make sure to protect yourself with a mask and gloves.
  2. Then, heat the water with the soap and sodium silicate solution. Once boiling, dip the towels into the mixture and let them sit for 20 minutes over low heat.
  3. When finished, remove them, rinse them with warm water and let them dry in the sun naturally.

White vinegar is an effective alternative:

White vinegar is recognized for its properties for cleaning, disinfecting and softening fabrics, as well as for removing stains and mold. To whiten and keep your towels absorbent and soft to the touch, use this product:

  1. You only need 1/2 cup of white vinegar (about 125 ml) and 1/4 cup of detergent (60 ml).
