Cleaning your dishwasher and maintaining your dishwasher is very important! This will not only allow your dishes to be better cleaned, but also to avoid odors and allow water to drain properly. This will give you very clean dishes and your dishwasher will age less quickly.
1 – MAINTENANCE OF THE FILTER AND WASH ARMS
For filter maintenance :
- Unscrew the filter to check its condition.
- If the filter has dirt, traces of scale or limescale, it must be cleaned;
- The best method to wash it is to soak it in white vinegar.
For the maintenance of the wash arms :
- Remove the arms, checking that there is no dirt in the holes;
- To ensure that the wash arms are not clogged, simply add water with the tap jet into the main orifice and observe if the water flows correctly through the small holes along the arm.
2 – AVOID WASTE
- Carry out your washing cycles while saving money:
Before starting your device, wait until it is well filled to avoid wasting water. However, keep sufficient space between plates for optimal washing.
The challenge is to find the right balance between the two.
Be aware, however, that a well-maintained dishwasher will wash better.
You can therefore charge it a little more between each use.
- Clean the exterior of your dishwasher:
Just like the interior, the exterior also needs to be cleaned regularly. Keep a focus on the walls and seals around the dishwasher door.
A damp cloth or damp cloth with a little vinegar is enough to remove this dirt.
3 – CLEANING WITH BAKING SODA
As soon as cleaning with vinegar is finished, remove the bowl. Next, sprinkle a generous handful of baking soda into your appliance. Start the wash to remove the last stains and the most capricious odors. Indeed, bicarbonate is an unbeatable deodorizer! Here, opt for a short cycle, but always with a washing program where the water is very hot. At the end of the cycle, your household appliance should be cleaned and shining like the first day. And since you didn’t use any chemicals, you don’t need to rinse with plenty of water.
