In most homes, spiders are among the last visitors you want to have in your home. These unwanted guests usually nest in the corners of our homes and it is not always easy to chase them away. However, you can keep them away from your home thanks to very effective anti-arachnid techniques that you can apply.

They penetrate through windows, holes, cracks in walls or doors and weave their web throughout the house. Some even get chills when they see spiders. If you want to keep them away without killing them, here are some amazing tricks for you.

How to effectively keep spiders away from the house?

We are often tempted to use chemicals   to repel or eliminate spiders  . However, it is possible to keep them away from home by applying ecological tips and methods that have nothing to envy of conventional products on the market.

• Use lemon essential oil to repel spiders

Spiders don’t like the smell of lemon at all. To take advantage of this natural and above all economical insect repellent, we suggest that you mix   1 liter of water with a tablespoon of lemon essential oil.  Once you get your scented repellent, pour it into a spray bottle and then spray the areas where pests nest. It should be noted that it is best to avoid colored painted walls because they can be damaged by contact with the lemon acid. If you don’t have lemon essential oil, you can use   lemon juice instead.  In this case, it is advisable to use a large pure amount of this citrus so that it smells strong.

Other essential oils such as lavender, tea tree, and peppermint are equally effective in keeping arachnids away from the home. These are great alternatives to lemon.

• Get spiders out of your house with white vinegar

White vinegar is the natural ingredient par excellence to repel spiders and all types of parasitic insects. Mix   an equal part of water and white vinegar to pour into a spray bottle   and then spray it directly on the areas where spiders tend to settle. For example, places like doors, window frames, vents, or the corners of windows.

• Keep spiders away with chestnuts

Spiders don’t like the smell of chestnuts. Place some around your home where pests nest and   it will only be a matter of time before they return.

• Use cedar to scare away spiders

One of the best natural arachnid repellents you can use is cedar wood. And for good reason, by incorporating it in sufficient quantity in different places in the house  , spiders will nest in other places. Fill your closets or store your clothes in a container filled with cedar and you can be sure they will be protected from spiders. Also note that cedar protects your clothing from moths.

• Keep spiders away with the combination of coconut oil and vinegar

A generous amount of a combination of white vinegar   and coconut oil   is tremendous when it comes to keeping spiders away from your home. To do this, make a mixture   consisting of a glass of white vinegar and half a glass of coconut oil,   then pour the solution into a spray. You can spray your natural repellent in various areas of the house, your outdoor space, or even your garage.

• Repel spiders with a combination of essential oil and dishwashing liquid

Another natural and effective spider remover is to mix 5 drops   of clove essential oil   and another 5 drops of liquid soap with a little water. Mix the ingredients well and then pour everything into a spray bottle. Stir and then spray places where spiders thrive, such as the window, terrace or garden.

First, test the solution on a hidden surface such as a small piece of upholstery before using it on larger areas. In fact,   oils are likely to stain surfaces.
