Removing Stains on Your Toilet Bowl with Household Products

Cleaning toilets, what a chore! Fortunately, there are several super easy, ecological and economical solutions for having impeccable toilets.

– USE WHITE VINEGAR TO CLEAN TOILETS

Descaling, descaling, anti-tartar, anti-mold and anti-odor (among other things, the cleaning properties of white vinegar are well established!), white vinegar is undoubtedly THE product to have in your kitchen cupboards to clean and shine everything in the house. Natural and very inexpensive, it is one of the flagship products of economical and ecological cleaning, used by our grandmothers for decades to clean efficiently and without using chemicals.

Here is how to clean your toilet with white vinegar:

  • Start by heating white vinegar in a saucepan, then once it is hot, remove the saucepan from the heat and add a handful of coarse salt.
  • Then, spread this preparation generously on the walls of your scaled toilet, and leave it on overnight.
  • The next morning, scrape off any residue with a spatula.
  • Your toilet should now be sparkling clean. The icing on the cake: white vinegar is also ideal for maintaining pipes and preventing unpleasant odors from rising. This is called killing two birds with one stone!

– CLEAN THE TOILET BOWL WITH BICARBONATE

Bicarbonate definitely knows how to do everything at home. Pour ½ cup of baking soda into the bottom of the toilet. Add ½ glass of white vinegar. Immediately this mixture starts to foam, this is normal, harmless for you, but radical for removing the dirt embedded at the bottom of the toilet. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes then remove the residue with the brush. Repeat if necessary and leave it on overnight if your toilet is really clogged.

– CLEAN THE COCA BOWL

Nothing could be simpler, pour the equivalent of a can into the bowl, leave to act for at least an hour, brush. Although less effective than vinegar or soda crystals, it is useful for regular maintenance.
