Nothing is more unpleasant than finding a nest of ants in the kitchen cupboards. Sugar boxes, packets of cakes or candies and other foods attract them. You must therefore act quickly, but not with just any product. We forget about insecticides that are as dangerous for our health as they are for the planet, but we grab hold of all the natural and ecological anti-ant solutions.
1 – CHALK, A SUPER ANT REPELLENT

Chalk has no equal when it comes to creating an impenetrable barrier for ants. It is very easy to use since it does not require any special preparation. It is enough to draw one or two chalk lines on the ground, on the terrace, the path, the balcony or in front of the threshold of the house and on the edges of windows to prevent the intrusion of ants. It’s radical. After a good rain, you must of course repeat the operation because the chalk simply disappears with water.
2 – BLACK SOAP TO ERADICATE ANTS

Multi-use, black soap is unconditional in the garden and at home because it is, among other things, the enemy of ants but also of mealybugs and even aphids. To permanently eliminate ants, it is necessary to dilute the black soap in boiling water according to the dosage indicated by the manufacturer, clearly on the packaging. Then simply pour this still very hot mixture onto the ant nest or colony.
3 – ESSENTIAL OILS TO DRAIN ANTS

Essential oils in the floor washing water deodorize the house and prevent ants from invading the premises. Good results are obtained with true lavender essential oil (80 drops of lavender oil for 10 liters of very hot water).
Ants also don’t like the smell of:
- Cinnamon essential oil,
- Peppermint essential oil.
You can simply place a few drops near windows and doors to keep ants away.
