Last night I found a HUGE spider on my couch (at least 3cm in diameter!!!) and I freaked out. So, I told myself that we had to investigate to resolve this problem, get rid of it and prevent it from coming back. Here are all our tips tested and approved by the editorial staff. Up to you.
1 – CITRUS

If you are lucky enough to live in a warm region, do not hesitate to plant citrus trees near the openings. Alternatively, place a few orange or lemon peels on the windowsills.
2 – COCONUT OIL

It is very rich in benefits for our health, but it is also an excellent spider repellent.
3 – LAVENDER

Diffuse lavender essential oil regularly in each room of your house. Place bouquets of lavender on which you have spread a few drops of lavender essential oil.
4 – CINNAMON

Spiders hate the smell of cinnamon, whatever its form: powdered, cooked, scented candle or essential oil. For example, you can sprinkle cinnamon around your home to prevent spiders from entering.
5 – MINT
- Pour 5 to 10 drops of mint essential oil into a spray bottle.
- Add hot water.
- Close the spray bottle and shake.
- Spray the solution obtained on the spiders’ passage points.
- This operation should be repeated every 2 days from mid-August to the end of September.
6 – WHITE VINEGAR

We can no longer count the benefits of white vinegar: in addition to naturally cleaning and disinfecting your home, it also helps drive away spiders. With its very acidic odor, it is a spider repellent. Use it to clean your windows, your eight-legged enemies will no longer enter your home.
7 – THE ALUM STONE

With alum powder , it is possible to make a natural repellent yourself. Dilute 50 g of alum powder in 500 ml of lukewarm water. Mix and pour into a 500 ml spray bottle. Spray on areas where spiders are likely to pass.
