How to make homemade bread!

Ingredients :

  • 10 g of dry baker’s yeast
  • 30 ml of olive oil
  • 600 g of T 45 flour
  • 8 g of salt
  • 340 ml of lukewarm water

Preparation :

  1. In a bowl, pour the flour and make a hole in the center using a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the lukewarm water, olive oil, dry yeast and salt, and start to mix, gradually incorporating the flour.
  3. Continue mixing until you have a workable dough and knead it with your hands until it is smooth and consistent.
  4. Oil the inside of the bowl and place the dough in it. Cover it and let it rise for an hour.
  5. After an hour, deflate the dough and transfer it to a work surface to knead it for a few minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into three parts and shape into three balls.
  7. Roll each ball into a flat disk similar to a pizza, and roll it onto itself to form a jelly roll.
  8. Seal the edges well with your fingers. Repeat for the other two balls.
  9. Place the loaves on a baking tray lined with baking paper, flatten them slightly with the palm of your hand, then cover them with a cloth and leave to rise for 20 minutes.
  10. After 20 minutes, make three oblique cuts on each loaf with a sharp knife, brush them with a little water and sprinkle them with sifted flour.
  11. Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes.
  12. Your homemade bread, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, is now ready to eat!
