Ingredients :
1 cup (250 grams) chocolate cookies (like Oreo cookies)
1/2 cup (125 ml) melted butter
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of butter (additional)
1 and 1/4 cups (300 ml) 35% country or whipping cream
50 grams of finely chopped milk chocolate
3 tablespoons of gelatin
1/4 cup (60 ml) water
2 packages of 250 g (500 g) Philadelphia cheese
1/2 cup (125 ml) powdered sugar
3 Mars bars of 60 grams cut into small pieces.
Preparation :
Use a food processor or blender to crumble the chocolate cookies. Add the butter and mix until well incorporated.
Place the mixture in the bottom of an 8 x 8 (20 cm x 20 cm) Pyrex dish and refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until firm.
During this time, we make the butterscotch sauce; in a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, extra butter and 2 tablespoons of cream. Over low heat, without boiling, mix gently until the mixture is completely dissolved.
Now make the chocolate sauce; in another small saucepan, mix 2 tablespoons of cream and the milk chocolate. Mix over low heat until the chocolate melts.
In a small saucepan, add the water and gelatin. Heat until the gelatin dissolves. Let cool for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until well blended. Then add the gelatin mixture as well as the Mars bar pieces. Save some pieces of Mars for last…
In another small bowl, beat the remaining cream until the mixture forms small peaks.
Place cream cheese mixture into cream mixture.
Place half of the mixture on the crust.
Pour half of the butterscotch sauce and chocolate sauce mixture over the cream cheese.
Repeat the same ploy. A layer of cream cheese and a layer of butterscotch sauce and chocolate sauce. Use a skewer to move the sauces in all directions and create a marbled effect.
Cover and refrigerate for about 3 hours.
