Ricotta donuts are sweet and chewy treats made with ricotta dough, sugar, flour, eggs and flavorings. They are often served as a dessert or snack, and can be dusted with icing sugar or served with a sauce or fruit coulis.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 120g caster sugar
- 250g of ricotta from the fridge
- grated zest of an orange or lemon
- half a packet of baking powder
- cinnamon
- 180g soft wheat flour 00
- frying oil
Preparation
- Mix the eggs with the salt and sugar.
- Then add the ricotta, citrus zest (optional), baking powder and cinnamon.
- Finally add the flour and incorporate it well until you obtain a homogeneous paste without lumps.
- Form the pancakes with two spoons and fry them in hot oil.
- Dip them in sugar and serve.
