Discover a simple and very tasty recipe for shepherd’s pie, a tasty dish flavored with herbs and well browned in the oven. A real treat, easy to prepare.
Ingredients
700 g ground beef
1 kg of potatoes
2 onions
1 carrot
Rosemary, bay leaf
Thyme
Parsley
Nutmeg
Butter
50 g of breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper
20 cl of milk
2 cloves of garlic
5 sprigs of parsley
200 g grated Gruyere cheese
Breadcrumbs
Preparation
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them so that they cook faster in a pot of boiling water.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Chop the onions, dice the carrots, chop the parsley and garlic.
Sauté the vegetables, onion and garlic. In a large pot with a knob of butter. Add the minced meat and the herbs.
Add the parsley and mashed potato the potatoes. Add milk and cooking water if you find it too thick. Add salt and pepper and season with nutmeg.
In an ovenproof dish, place a layer of mashed potatoes. Add a layer of ground meat, then a second layer of mashed potatoes. Fill the dish. Add breadcrumbs, grated Gruyere cheese and bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot!
