This salad is quite famous but do you make it home-made? Personally, I don’t like the ready-made version from the store, so I was a bit annoyed with this salad, and then I tasted homemade… and I loved it!
Ingredients
200 g of diced ham
salt and pepper
150 g mayonnaise
10 large pickles in vinegar
600 g firm-fleshed “Charlotte” potatoes
3 hard-boiled eggs
400 g firm tomatoes
Preparation
Cook the potatoes with the skin on for 20 minutes in boiling salted water. Let them cool down, then peel and cut them into large cubes.
Wash the tomatoes, remove the seeds and cut into small cubes.
Place in a salad bowl, add the sliced gherkins, the diced ham and the coarsely cut hard-boiled eggs.
Mix with the potatoes, and gently add the mayonnaise.
Place in the refrigerator for 1 hour before eating.
