INGREDIENTS
100g (1/2 cup) sugar
10 egg yolks
375 mL (1 1/2 cups) milk
250g (1 cup) condensed milk
300g (1 1/4 cups) cream cheese
100g (1/2 cup) sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
4 egg whites
METHOD
Add the sugar to the pan and caramelize it until it turns dark amber. Transfer it to the pan (20 cm pan) and set it aside.
In a bowl, add the egg yolks and whisk until incorporated. Add milk, vanilla extract, condensed milk and mix slowly until well blended.
In another bowl, add cream cheese and mix with mixer. Add sugar, salt and egg whites a little at a time and mix well.
Mix the flan and cheese mixture and sift it onto the prepared pan with the melted sugar. Add hot water to the pan and transfer the pan to it.
Bake for 2 hours at 155°C/311°F. Once the cheesecake has cooled, transfer it to the refrigerator for 4 hours.
Once the time is up, cut it into slices and serve.
