Creamy potato timbale: try them too, you’ll be delighted!

Creamy potatoes are a very simple dish to make, but extremely tasty and nutritious.

In my house, young and old go crazy for it. It will be for their unique flavor that always convinces and unites the diners, it will be because they manage to be crunchy and soft at the same time, but cooked like this the potatoes are spectacular. Yet they are very simple to prepare!

In the first step, they must cook at 80%, our advice is to use the microwave, both to speed up the operations and to guarantee truly uniform cooking. But if you prefer, you can blanch them for about ten minutes.

Once ready, they are then enriched with a special sauce. If it is too thick, stretch it slightly with a drop of milk.

But for all the details, read on and take note of this recipe. It will be a hit!

For this recipe, get:

  • 350 g of potatoes (about 2 medium – peeled weight)
  • 1/3 onion
  • 18 g of minced garlic
  • 30 g of unsalted butter
  • 5 g of wheat flour
  • 2 g of salt
  • 100ml of milk
  • 20 g of Parmesan
  • black pepper powder, to taste
  • mozzarella stick, to taste
  • parsley, to taste if desired

These doses are perfect to satisfy two people.

Preheat the oven to 200°.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices about 2/3 millimeters.

Arrange them in a ceramic bowl. Arrange them in a semicircle then cover them with a silicone lid and cook them in the microwave for 5 minutes at 700W. They need to cook to 80%.

Slice the onion into rings of a maximum of 3 millimeters, and place them between the potatoes.

In a non-stick pan, melt the butter, when it begins to darken, add the minced garlic, flour, salt, milk, Parmesan and mix well to uniform. You have to get a thick and semi-liquid sauce. Pour it over the potatoes, then bake them for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, grate the mozzarella and chop the parsley with the crescent.

Take out your potato timbale and decorate it with the mozzarella, then put it in the oven for a second time, still at 200°, for about ten minutes. Take it out of the oven when it begins to brown on the surface, distribute the parsley and serve. It’s a marvel. T
