Simple plumcake: ingredients and preparation
For this recipe, get:
- 2 eggs
- 50 g of sugar
- 7 g of vanilla sugar
- 50ml of oil
- orange zest (optional)
- 80ml of milk
- 150 g of flour
- 11 g of baking powder
- apricot jam
Preheat the oven to 180°. Grease and flour a 25×13 cm loaf pan.
Break the eggs into a bowl, add the granulated sugar and the vanilla sugar and start working everything with the hand whisk. Now pour in the oil, mix again, then add the milk and orange zest. Sift the yeast and flour directly into the bowl and let them absorb, always using only the hand whisk. You will notice that the dough will rise anyway.
Transfer half of it to the bottom of the pan, then decorate the surface with a dozen teaspoons of jam. With a toothpick make doodles to distribute them well. Cover with the remaining dough and level the surface with the spatula.
Bake for 30 minutes, do the toothpick test before removing your dessert and take it out of the oven only if dry. Let it cool before unmoulding it.
