This type of cake is characterized by having the apples on the bottom, caramelized, and then turned over to present them on top when served.
Ingredients:
For the caramel and apples:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2-3 apples, peeled, sanitized and sliced

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, at room temperature

2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk
Preparation:
Pre-heat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Prepare the caramel and apples:
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sugar and cook until it melts and forms a golden caramel.
Pour the caramel into a 9-inch round cake pan, making sure to coat the bottom well.
Place the apple slices over the caramel in the bottom of the mold.
Prepare the cake batter:
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Booking.
In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy. We can add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and mix.
Add the sifted dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous mass.
Assembly and baking:
Pour the batter over the apples in the mold.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling and turning:
Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Place a large plate on top of the pan and carefully turn the cake over so that the caramelized apples are on top.
