The alternative light mayonnaise: without eggs and with just a spoonful of oil!
Today’s recipe is for a sui generis mayonnaise that is prepared in five minutes and with just a spoonful of oil!
The alternative mayonnaise with just one tablespoon of oil!
The ingredients
We need: a 250 gram cup of Greek yogurt; 50 grams of spreadable cheese; two cloves of garlic; a teaspoon of parsley; a spoonful of olive oil; a spoonful of lemon juice; half a teaspoon of mustard; salt and pepper to taste.
For best taste, refrigerate 30 minutes to an hour before serving. This sauce can be kept in the fridge for four or five days.
The preparation
The first thing is to pour the Greek yogurt into a boule, then add two cheeses or 50 grams of spreadable cheese (for example Philadelphia) and then blend with an immersion mixer.
Now pour two cloves of crushed garlic and one of chopped parsley into this cream, then a spoonful of olive oil and one of lemon juice, then half a teaspoon of mustard and salt and pepper to taste.
Now mix everything with a hand whisk until the sauce sticks to it, then pour the result into a glass jar.
For a better flavour, it is advisable not to taste the sauce until it has been placed in the fridge for at least half an hour (but an hour is better).
We can try it with excellent roasted potatoes: it is delicious and enhances them in an extraordinary way, just like a good mayonnaise should do.
As you have seen, it takes almost nothing to make this delicacy, not only in terms of ingredients, but also in terms of time (except for resting in the fridge, but that’s a detail, because at that point all you have to do is wait) .
Good job, have fun and bon appetit!
