Trofie, zucchini and prawns: first course for those on a diet, 280 calories
When we decide to lose a few pounds, the first thing that comes to mind is to eliminate first courses, known for their high carbohydrate content and, often, due to the seasoning, calories. Who said that, on the other hand, we can’t prepare a rich and tasty pasta dish with a very low calorie content? Today for lunch we will bring trofie with zucchini and prawns to the table. A gourmet dish but prepared in such a way as to have only 280 calories per serving.
Trofie, zucchini and prawns: first course for those on a diet, 280 calories
Ingredients (three servings)
- 250 grams of zucchini,
- 240 grams of fresh king prawns or prawns,
- 180 grams of fresh wholemeal trofie,
- 60 grams of spreadable cheese,
- 1 clove of garlic,
- a sprig of fresh parsley,
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric,
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil,
- sale qb.
Preparation of Trofie, courgettes and prawns
As with any recipe, we start by preparing all the ingredients, then making it will be child’s play.
Wash the courgettes, remove the two ends and cut them into slices.
We clean the prawns, depriving them of the carapace and put them in a bowl with garlic and minced parsley.
Now it’s time to cook. Take a wook-type pan, put the courgettes inside, cover them with water and add the trofie. We’ll probably get chills reading something like this! Dropping the pasta into cold water seems like a heresy, yet for this recipe it is the winning move. Season with salt and bring to a lively flame. We wait for the pasta and zucchini to start cooking, stirring constantly. When they are three quarters cooked, add the spreadable cheese, stirring constantly. A few minutes from the end, mix the prawns, turmeric and a spoonful of oil with the pasta. Let it go until the liquid thickens to form a cream. The entire preparation of the dish will take about ten minutes, no more.
When the liquid is finally reduced, we can serve our trofie prawns and courgettes piping hot.
To give an extra touch of colour, once served, we can sprinkle the prawns and zucchini trofie with freshly chopped parsley. No one will think that we are bringing a dietary dish to the table!
