If not treated in time, tartar turns into black spots that are very unpleasant to look at.
At this stage they are very difficult to clean. To restore the whiteness of your toilet, here are 5 very effective techniques.
1 – LEMON

Lemon is a powerful natural product against limescale. So, after squeezing a lemon, collect the lemon halves and pass them, pulp side, inside the toilet bowl and mainly to descale the edges. Leave it on for a good hour before rinsing. The lemon will disinfect your toilet at the same time.
2 – BICARBONATE + WHITE VINEGAR

Baking soda and white vinegar are great for getting rid of traces of limescale embedded in toilets.
- Pour 250 ml of white vinegar into the bowl and use the brush to spread it well. Leave to act for 2 min.
- Pour 150 g of bicarbonate into the toilet bowl, and add 500 ml of vinegar. This will create a foaming reaction.
- Leave everything to act for 10 min.
- Use the toilet brush to spread the mixture all around the bowl and particularly on the encrusted tartar stains. Do not flush the toilet.
- Leave it on for 30 minutes, brushing once or twice until the limescale disappears.
- If there are still stains, scrub with the toilet brush or even better a nylon brush with hard bristles.
- Flush the toilet to flush.
3 – DESCALE YOUR WC WITH HYDROCHLORIC ACID

The first solution, the least ecological and the most radical, is the use of hydrochloric acid. This is a corrosive and dangerous product, handle with caution. We advise you to use it as a last resort and on very, very scaled toilets.
- To begin with, it is essential to take precautions when using this product. In fact, we advise you to bring protective clothing, gloves and a pair of protective glasses.
- Once you have put on your light outfit, ventilate your toilets so as not to poison yourself!
- Pour about a glass of acid down your toilet, then carefully close the lid.
- Leave it on for about 4-5 hours (or overnight). Once this time has passed, flush your toilet.
It’s done ! Your toilet is like new.
4 – CITRIC ACID + BICARBONATE + LIQUID DETERGENT

Used to dissolve rust and limescale, citric acid, provided you do not use it pure, is very effective in descaling toilets
- Mix a quarter cup of citric acid, a cup of baking soda, a spoonful of dishwashing detergent, then spray the scaled walls with it.
- For greater effectiveness, then apply paper towels to the walls.
- Spray again.
- Let it work.
5 – COCA-COLA

The phosphoric acid contained in coke acts on encrusted dirt and breaks up scale in the toilet. So to descale your toilets with Coca-Cola, simply pour a can into the bowl and leave to act for 1 hour.
