Here is a recipe for making your own whitening product at home. The ingredients needed are simple and easy to find, such as baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, coconut detergent, white liquid soap, spirit vinegar, acetone and ‘water. You will also need a large basin, an empty plastic bottle, a funnel and a wooden spoon for mixing. Once the whitening product is made, you can use it to whiten your dishcloths by soaking them in a solution of boiling water with the whitener. The end result will surprise you! Ingredients needed:
- 5 tablespoons of baking soda
- 1 small bottle of hydrogen peroxide volume 40
- 500 ml coconut detergent
- 300 ml of white liquid soap
- 300 ml of spirit vinegar
- 1 ½ liters of water
- 1 empty 2 liter plastic bottle
- Large basin
- 100 ml of acetone
- 1 funnel
- Wooden spoon for mixing

- Place the basin in a ventilated, open area to begin preparing the whitener.
- Pour the water and baking soda into the bowl and mix well.
- Then add the detergent little by little while continuing to mix.
- Then add the vinegar little by little while continuing to mix.
- At this point the mixture may foam a lot, don’t worry.
- This is due to the reaction of the vinegar with the baking soda.
- Then add the acetone, hydrogen peroxide and liquid soap (making sure the liquid soap is white).

How to use whitener:
- When the time comes to use the whitener, take 2 liters of water and boil it in a saucepan.
- Then add 200 ml of the whitener that we have prepared.
- Then bring the heat to medium and add the tea towels one by one and let it boil for about 40 minutes.
- Use a wooden spoon to stir occasionally.
- After this time, remove the pan from the heat, transfer the cloths and the bleaching water to a basin and leave to soak until the next day.
