Hippocrates Soup – Recipe adapted and improved by the doctor who was able to cure cancer, heart, kidney, liver and lung patients

Doctors always advise us to take care of our diet, especially in the case of certain diseases. If you still end up in the unfortunate situation of suffering from severe diseases, this preparation called “Hippocrates soup” has the power to heal the body of many ailments, such as tuberculosis, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, allergies, ulcers, heart disease, kidney disease and even multiple sclerosis.

It is not a miracle, but there are scientific explanations. The main property of the soup is to detoxify the body and balance the amount of potassium and sodium in the body, these elements being essential in the healing process of patients.

The secret of the original recipe is that Hippocrates used fresh vegetables, which he washed well, without peeling, and then boiled them over low heat. The primary method of cooking vegetables with their skins is very beneficial for health, as many of the active properties of vegetables are found in their outer skin, which we in modern times remove. This is also the reason why few vegetarian recipes, which, when cooked, have such beneficial properties as Hippocrates soup, which helps digestion, is rich in fiber and stimulates the body’s absorption of vitamins and minerals.

The original recipe was taken over, adapted and improved later by Dr. Max Gerson who used this preparation as a basis in many natural treatments, with the help of which the doctor was able to cure cancer, heart, kidney, liver and lung patients.

Hippocrates’ soup is currently heavily consumed in the Gerson Therapy, known as the therapy used for cancer patients. Moreover, it helps purify the kidneys, detoxify the liver, repair cells and help them to become functional again.

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions
  • 1 celery root
  • 1 parsley root
  • 1 piece of leek
  • 1 bunch of green parsley
  • 1 kg of tomatoes
  • 500 grams of potatoes
  • garlic to taste

Method of preparation:

Wash the vegetables well and boil them with their skins on in a pot with just enough water to cover them, without salt. Let it boil, on a low heat, for two hours, after which the vegetables are removed, passed through a sieve and put back in the juice.

The soup can be kept in the refrigerator for two days and we only heat up as much as we consume. The garlic can be crushed and added at the last moment, like mujdei.

The recipe is simple, but very effective, because it  purifies the liver, cleans the intestines and facilitates the absorption of vitamins.

Cells are balanced due to the correct concentration of potassium and sodium, the whole body is detoxified and the healing process of diseases starts by itself.

Of course, the doctor’s advice must always be followed, but we can start to help ourselves at least with a simple and warm soup.
