Egg-free and dairy-free recipe – Universal dough, suitable for bread, pizza, pies, etc.
Ingredients needed:
- 1 kg of flour
- 500 ml warm water
- 30 g fresh yeast or 10 g dry yeast
- 50 ml of oil
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
Method of preparation:
Crumble the fresh yeast into a bowl, add the sugar and mix until the yeast liquefies. Add 100 g of flour and warm (not hot) water and homogenize. Cover with a clean towel and leave in a warm place for 10-15 minutes, until the yeast swells.
After 10-15 minutes, add the oil and salt and mix. Gradually add the sifted flour, kneading a soft, elastic and very dense dough. We do not add all the flour at once as we may need a larger or smaller amount, depending on its moisture.
Grease a bowl with oil and transfer the dough into it. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and put in a warm place. Let the dough rise for 40-45 minutes, until it doubles in size. We transfer the leavened dough to the work surface and shape it to our liking.
It is perfect for both pies and pizzas or doughnuts.
