My Grandmother’s Eggs in Milk Recipe

My grandmother’s very simple egg pudding recipe, which will make a very good dessert, a quick and very fragrant recipe, which makes you travel.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 60g of sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • A vanilla pod

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan put the milk and the vanilla pod.
  2. Heat for 5 minutes over low heat. In a bowl, beat the eggs and the sugar until the mixture turns white. Pour the hot milk over the eggs little by little, mixing.
  3. Pour the preparation into a rectangular Le Creuset dish, like our grandmothers.
  4. Bake in a bain-marie for about 30 minutes in the oven at 180°C.
  5. The milk eggs are cooked when a nice golden layer has formed on top.
  6. Cool and refrigerate until serving.
